Map Your Route
With additional clarity on your event objectives, a wish list of creative ideas and a handful of potential platforms, we now recommend picking 3 vendors from the previous list and scheduling demos.
A few essentials to think through before securing a demonstration:
- Event date
- Expected attendance
- Sponsorship or exhibitor requirements
- Budget
Most importantly, let your objectives and ideas guide the following interaction. Here are a few key questions to ask:
- How long will it take to build the platform?
- What kind of customer support do you offer?
- What event-related technology applications (registration, conference management, video conferencing, etc.) integrate with your platform?
- How can my attendees engage with the content after the event?
- What analytics are captured and how are they shared?
- Do you have case studies and references you can share?
Most vendors will provide access to a simulated environment or another client’s site. While demos provide an overview, we highly recommend spending time in a live or simulated environment in your evaluation.
